SUPPORTING LOCAL FEMALE CANCER PATIENTS

With their financial hardships

To financially assist women in the Yuba-Sutter community who are battling female forms of cancer such as breast, ovarian, cervical, uterine or endometrial cancer. By relieving the financial burden of not being able to pay their day to day bills that they may be struggling with due to lack of work during treatment, we feel that we can provide a small sense of relief during such a difficult time in a woman’s life.

The Geweke’s Caring for Women Foundation has assisted 542 women since 2006 with *now as of June 2022* up to $3,000 in financial help. Thanks to your financial fundraising support, we have also been instrumental in the purchase of multiple pieces of imaging equipment for our local medical partners including (4) 3D Mammography units, Faxitron Biopsy, Stereotactic Biopsy, medical and imaging equipment to assist with diagnosis’ within the women’s lower tract and more. In addition, we are excited to share that the Adventist Rideout Cancer Center is offering a shuttle service for patients going through treatment thanks to the donation of a new 10 passenger Transit Shuttle van through the foundation. This assists those who do not have the proper transportation or support to get them to their very important medical treatments. We are grateful to share that since the foundation’s start, The Yuba-Sutter Community has had over $1.26 million dollars go back into the community through assistance of individuals and medical equipment to help all women.
